The 7th Jammy Awards have come and gone, and no Phish didn't play together tonight. But that was one of the lone complaints on a very special evening in NYC. I'm gonna try to write something now, but I'm spent so I apologize in advance for any unsavory errors. Here's a few notes from the evening. For as unexpected as this was of a union and as shocked as I am still that it took place, I do have to admit that Mariah never has looked better. She's trim, smiling big and excitedly flashing that rock of hers. These are pictures from (and a video) of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Cannon's world debut . The two stepped out for the Time magazine 100 Most Influential People in the world (of which Mariah is one ) party earlier in the evening, making their first appearance together since their secret marriage in the Bahamas. The couple sat down with People magazine for an in-depth interview, revealing the details of the events that led up to their marriage and how they fell in love at first sight, essentially. They both got tattoos before the April 30th ceremony - Mariah's got "Mrs. Cannon" on her lower back, and Nick has "Mariah" across the back of his shoulders. According to Nick, part of why they get along so well is because, "We are both eternally 12 years old." But my favorite part of the interview comes from the description of how Nick proposed. Apparently, he presented Mimi inside a Ring Pop wrapper and when he got down one knee, "she ran away and got all shy." Eventually she returned and said yes, but how awesome is that image? The country-pop superstar died today at age 89 . Arnold's crooning voice and smooth songs helped to shepherd in the Nashville Sound, creating crossover success for country music on the pop charts. I don't listen to much Eddy Arnold (I generally like my country as honky-tonk as it can get), but he has a special place in my heart because he's one of my dad's favorite singers, and we listened to him all the time in our car when I was a kid. My sister and I couldn't stand the yodel-heavy "Cattle Call" at the time, but I've since been known to listen to it many times on repeat. It's an awfully pretty song.

But we are trying and casting a wide net (translation: reading TMZ) and we are learning. For exciting instance! Rihanna has been nibbling on Chris Brown's drumsticks at KFC . But wait, there's more. And it's more up our collective alley: When the reigning queen of most covered song of '07 starts paying it forward, and that forward paying involves M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes," and that "Paper Planes" involves full-on mimed gunshots by the Barbadian beauty like she just doesn't care, it stands as proof that Rihanna and you-dancing-in-the-mirror-before-going-out have at least one thing in common. That came from a recent stop on Kanye's Glow In The Dark tour. We give it a B+ .

Elvis Costello and the Imposters have a full album stream of their latest album, the unusually named Momofuku . The record was released April 22, 2008 , The band took an unusual approach with the record, by releasing it only on vinyl/digital. The vinyl itself will include a digital download code to enable purchasers to grab a copy of the record for their iPods. While this has become popular with indie labels like Saddle Creek, this is one of the first albums to be released this way on a major label. You can find the stream here . The Sun is reporting that Wino is currently being questioned by the fuzz on suspicion of drug offenses at a police station in East London right now. I'd love to see how that conversation is going down. Cop: (trying not to laugh) So...um....do...you...um...use drugs? The entire station erupts in laughter! Some even die from laughing so hard! Heatworld reports that she's been arrested, but who knows. That's nothing new for Wino. Handcuffs are a Wino's best friend!
