I watched the much fawned and gushed over performance of Daniel Day-Lewis in There Will Be Blood the other day. Who would have predicted, back in the days of Magnum PI, that a vaunted actor such as Day-Lewis would one day win an Oscar for doing such a beaut job of playing Tom Selleck. Go figure.
