The film comes in for a lot of criticism because its [...]

Source : Skuds' Sister's Brother (subscribe)

Explore : Actors and Actresses, Artists, Blues, Jazz, Music

If you can’t, then tell me in comments. If you can then enjoy Respect Yourself: The Stax Records Story and the Stax/Volt tour of Norway (1967), both broadcast in the UK a week ago.

By happy chance I turned the TV on just after 9pm today and a programme on Stax records had just started on BBC Four. It was nearly two hours long and absolutely fascinating. Even better, it was immediately followed by a concert film from the Stax Volt tour of Norway in 1968. Considering how long ago it was it is amazing that the concert film still exists, and how good the sound on it was. Booker...

Source : Skuds' Sister's Brother (subscribe)

Explore : Artists, Eddie Floyd, Music, Otis Redding, Soul

It's been a while since I've done anything meme, so when I was tagged by tesco , I thought, "Cool." This is a bit of a crazy one, but interesting also: 1. Choose 19 of the songs you like best, regardless of artist or genre. 2. Put them all together in a CD. 3. Make 5 other copies. 4. Post your playlist on your blog. 5. Choose 5 people and send them a copy of your CD each.
