'Tu makki di roti' has Daler Mehndi, Mika and Asha bhosle - quite a line up of popular singers, this is composed by Shamir Tandon and appears again in a remix version - not bad as songs go but a little lackluster. The Jatin-Lalit composed 'Ek dil ki' reminds you of their earlier good compositions. Shaan and Udit Narayan doing their best.

Bombay came to Broad Street Sunday night as the legendary Indian singer Asha Bhosle made her Kimmel Center debut. The most famous of Bollywood's "playback singers," Bhosle has lent her offscreen voice to hundreds of movie heroines, and claims to be the most-recorded singer in history, with about 13,000 songs. (Her main competition is her elder sister, Lata Mangeshkar.)
