<title>Don King Hits Beijing to Scout China's Best Boxer :: City Weekend Beijing Blog (Chinalyst - China blogs in English)</title>
      <link>http://www.wikio.com/search/George+Foreman?rinfoid=67722471</link>
<description>Date: Aug 14th 2008 11:41a.m. Contributed by: zhenyuli I was invited to attend a media conference yesterday and guess who the guest of honor was? DON KING! The most powerful man in boxing hit Beijing on Tuesday. The legendary boxing promoter – known as much for his work with Muhammad Ali and George Foreman as his wild hairdos and flamboyant personality – was in town to announce a world championship fight to be held in Chengdu on Nov. 7 of this year. Although King has been in the game for over 30 years and promoted more than 500 world championship bouts, the 77-year-old still looks like a man in his prime, talking fast and flashing his wit even without a script in his hands. After the press conference, King dropped by the Workers' Gymnasium, the Olympic boxing venue where China's finest boxer, Shiming Zou, will begin competing on Saturday. Rumor has it that King is keen to sign Zou to a contract after the Beijing Olympics. As the originator of "Rumble in the Jungle" and "Thrilla' in Manila", we're eager to see what The King has in store for China.</description>
