Shut Up, I'm Talking is Gregory Levey 's account of his time working for the Israeli government, first at the UN Mission in New York, and later at the Prime Minister's Office in Israel. As an Israeli, this book was hilarious to read, although it contains several true and painful criticisms of the country and its citizens. Nonetheless, it makes for a very amusing tale of how disorganized diplomacy can be behind the scenes, no matter how polished the high representatives / ambassadors / ministers appear to be. The writing style is great: easy to read, funny, and engaging. The characters are priceless, and since Alli knows a number of them, we can tell the descriptions are pretty accurate.
