"On the other hand, a border demarcation of the Shebaa Farms that places this land under Lebanese sovereignty should be drawn, consequently ending Israeli occupation and Syrian trusteeship," he added. Jumblatt raised the issue of the International Tribunal, noting that "justice must be the first step in ending political violence and political assassinations." Jumblatt said he saw one of two solutions to the Lebanese crisis: "either the Lebanese state progressively absorbs Hezbollah through dialogue, or the opposite, which will mean the end of the only model of pluralism in the Middle East." Jumblatt left Beirut for Greece on Monday evening to take part in a conference of the Socialist International.
