<title>Wigan - Must Win for Hull City? (4sportsake.com)</title>
      <link>http://www.wikio.com/search/SWANSEA?rinfoid=69288761</link>
<description>Hull's Premier League adventure continues this weekend with a home clash against Wigan, and the mood around The Tigers camp couldn't be better, despite a mid-week defeat to Swansea in the League Cup. Although it was a loss to Championship opposition, it was mostly fringe players that donned the shirt. There were still some positives to come out of the clash; a goal for Dean Windass, a penalty save from Matt Duke and 120 minutes of football were provided to the squad players for their chance to shine. Either way, the League Cup isn't exactly high on the priority list this season, is it? And so, City must be get their feet back on the ground after last week's unexpected point at Blackburn and prepare for this 'must win' game. It sounds ridiculous to label a game as such three matches into the season, but in our position, home games against the teams earmarked as relegation fodder are matches we simply must win. In real terms, we are four points ahead of schedule in many people's eyes, so the pressure remains on our opponents. Despite the good start, the doubters will still be waiting for us to slip up and will relish our first 'thrashing' of the season. The two performances we have seen thus far suggest Phil Brown's men will not be turned over easily, but the unbeaten run cannot continue forever. And so, it is vital we take something from Wigan. Many will be pleased with a point, but adding three more - taking us to 7 - would put us in good stead for a tricky month in September. The KC has to become a fortress, and a place where visiting teams hate to come play football. If visiting teams choose to take the 'easy game' mentality, then that would benefit Hull further. Away visits to Newcastle and Arsenal await, meanwhile an improving Everton visit the KC Stadium, so things are going to be far from easy. Wigan have a potentially tricky front-line to deal with, and Anthony Gardner and Michael Turner must continue their fine form. Emile Heskey will be a handful, and if he can be kept quiet, then we have every chance. The Latics backline - devoid somewhat of pace - could be the visitor's weak spot, and we must be ruthless going forward. Marlon King could be unavailable due to his loan arrangements, so Deano or Caleb Folan may get the chance to shine. Folan would love a goal against his old club, and creativity will hopefully come in the form of Geovanni (provided he has the space) and Craig Fagan, who would love a one-on-one battle with Kevin Kilbane down the right flank. Peter Halmosi has yet to start a game, despite being our club record signing, so maybe we will see a bit more of our left-wing stalwart. Either way, as long as the ball hits the back of the net on Saturday and Hull give it their all, then most of the Tiger Nation will go home happy.</description>
