Savvy Brides Save Big On Their Wedding (Top News Cast - World)

By Judith Turner Ask any bride-to-be what one of her biggest concerns is and she will probably tell you sticking to a budget. Just about every bride and groom is looking for deals to help them save money on their wedding. With the cost of living constantly going up brides and grooms have so many reasons to want to save money. Even with two incomes it costs so much to support a family today. Even before the wedding most couples are thinking about buying a new home and starting a family. If there are children from previous marriages then their will be additional expenses when merging two families. Fortunately, couples can save money on their wedding in many ways. Something that has gained popularity over the years is shopping on internet auctions such as eBay. Anyone familiar with eBay knows that you can find just about anything you are looking for. From wedding favors to wedding gowns, shopping on eBay has become very popular. One man did quite well when he sold his wife's wedding dress after his divorce. His listing brought a lot of attention with a picture of the man actually wearing the gown! This funny listing not only got him a good price but several marriage proposals! When shopping on auction sites keep in mind that other brides are doing the same thing. Sometimes you can get lucky and be the only bidder of a certain item. However, if their is a lot of interest in one particular auction (such as a one-of-a-kind item) then the bidding price can go higher than your budget allows. Just remember that you are trying to save money so don't bid higher than what you are comfortable with. One challenge of shopping online auctions is that you can't closely inspect or try on items first. When buying something like a wedding gown this can be a challenge. Some sellers may offer a return policy if the item wasn't what you expected but with many auctions all sales are final. Either way be sure to check the feedback of the seller and ask any questions about the item and return policy before bidding. Also keep in mind that if you purchase something that you can't use you could always resell it yourself! Another way brides have been saving money is by shopping at consignment stores. Consignment stores have been around for years. Some actually specialize in wedding gowns; check some of the larger cities near you to see if there are some of these consignment stores available to you. The one disadvantage of consignment shops is the lack of variety. You may find the wedding gown of your dreams at a great price but if it isn't your size then unless it can be altered you are out of luck. As for alterations, try to find an experienced seamstress even before you start looking. Many bridal shops will do alterations for you but most consignment shops wont. Having someone available to make a too large gown fit just right means you have several more options when shopping for your dress. Another challenge with consignment shopping is that you need to be able to make your decision pretty quickly. You don't want to take the chance that someone else would take your bridal gown tomorrow or this afternoon. Bring your mother, sister or whoever you want to give input. Be ready to make up your mind. Understand that the minute the gown leaves your hands, it is gone. Another bride can come in and buy it right out from under you. In a bridal store, they can always order another copy of the dress. This is not so in a consignment store. While there are many pros and cons to shopping at auctions or in consignment shops for your wedding dress the positive will definitely outweigh the negative. If you are flexible about your wedding dress and other necessities you will have a lot of options. Save big now on your wedding and you might even have some money leftover to save for a rainy day! About the Author: Visit Wedding Rings and Things.net to help you plan your special day. find a huge variety of like new wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses and more and save money.
Space Goat Auctions in Honor of Michael Turner (Comics Fairplay)

I am really proud to announce that Space Goat Fine Arts is raising money for the American Cancer Society to be donated in the late artist Michael Turner's name. The artists and staff at Space Goat were so affected by Turner's passing, and want to help in his name, so here I am to tell you about it! My hubby and I donated three issues of Superman/Batman that were signed by Turner to the cause. Artists Rafa Sandoval, Randy Kintz, and Jason Metcalf have all donated pieces of art. The auctions are currently on eBay and are scheduled to end Wednesday, July 23. Please head over to eBay and bid on these great pieces. The proceeds are being 100% donated, and I can think of no greater cause then trying to find a cure for cancer. We don't need to lose any more loved ones to this horrible disease, and the best way to contribute for folks like us is financially. We continue to pray that the scientists and doctors find a cure. I can't stress enough how much I would appreciate any help you would give on this. Let's work together, spend a little money, and donate to an important cause.

. Hereford United have confirmed the signings of Robbie Threlfall on loan. Threlfall joined Hereford on an initial one month loan deal in October last year, but he impressed so much, Hereford's manager Graham Turner acted swiftly to extend his loan stay for the remainder of the season. Robbie had a great loan spell with Hereford helping them to automatic promotion to League 1. However, he had a couple of injuries after Christmas which limited his appearances. Robbie Threlfall made nine starts for the Bulls last term. He was outstanding and solid at the back for them until the Bulls FA Cup tie against Hartlepool in December when he suffered an ankle injury which would lead to him being on the sidelines for 2 months. Threlfall made an immense impression on the Hereford fans most notably his performance in their FA Cup giantkilling victory over Leeds United. Speaking to the official Hereford United website, Threlfall commented: "It's good to be back to be honest. I've known that I'd be sent out on loan from Liverpool for about a week, and I know Hereford have been on the phone all through the summer asking. So I felt it was a good move. I had a good time here last season, although I had a bit of misfortune with the ankle injury. when I returned from injury it was never completely healed, but I've had A good break over the summer and got it sorted, now I'm back and I'm ready to play. "It's good to know Hereford have been so interested in taking me back, I've always had it in the back of my mind that I wouldn't mind coming back here. I think League 1 will be a good learning curve for me. Hopefully we can get into the play-offs, we've got a good squad. We can all play. I think in League 1 you have to play football, and we know we can, we've also got a good pitch to play on here. I've got two years left at Liverpool, I'd like to get as many games under my belt here this season, play well and then see what happens. Hopefully I'll get another contract with Liverpool but you never know." . Will Robbie Threlfall benefit from a Season long loan deal at Hereford again next season, post your comments below....... . .
