It looks like the two remaining defendants in the diet drug criminal trial in Northern Kentucky may be able to be released after their bail was reduced. Story from WAVE3.Lawyers in fen-phen settlement case hoping to be released Two Kentucky lawyers are hoping to be released from jail after a judge reduced their multimillion-dollar bonds in a case stemming from the now-banned diet drug fen-phen. The lawyers, William Gallion and Shirley Cunningham Jr., have been held in the Boone County jail in northern Kentucky for more than a year. Gallion's bond was dropped to $2.5 million from $52 million, and Cunningham's bond was reduced to $1.25 million from $45 million. U.S. District Judge Danny Reeves says he lowered bond Friday because facts in the case had changed since the men were indicted in June 2007. * * * click on heading fror rest of story
