Jim Hendry has made some decent moves as Cubs GM. Getting Derek Lee from the Marlins and Aramis Ramirez from the Pirates ranks high on the list. But man, he really manages to fuck up now and then. It's hard to call a guy a good GM when he has signed Cezar Izturis, Neifi Perez, and Juan Pierre, and when his minor league system is basically in shambles. Derek Lee Commits to Wisconsin (Western College Hockey)

Andy Baggot is reporting that Salmon Arm(BCHL) forward Derek Lee has committed to Wisconsin . The '90 born forward has 69 points through 43 games this year. According to Baggot, Lee will likely join the Badgers to start the '09 season. The article also mentions BCHL defenseman Justin Schultz visited the Badgers this past weekend.
