via the St. Louis Blues, St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has assigned goaltender Hannu Toivonen to the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen. In addition, the team has recalled goaltender Marek Schwarz from the Rivermen.

Soderberg, 21, played the past two seasons with Malmo IF of the Swedish Elite League. He was Sweden's second-highest scorer during the world junior championships in 2005. He was drafted by St. Louis in the second round in 2004.
