A new version of FriendFeed is in the works, perhaps not so surprisingly in itself, but it might be coming pretty soon. MG Siegler over on VentureBeat got it confirmed, after spotting the domain beta.friendfeed.com in his Flickr traffic logs. It is getting harder and harder to keep web apps secret, I’ve had clients in [...]

Source : The Blog Herald (subscribe)

Explore : Blogosphere, Technology

I was squinting at Friendfeed today, and I realized that it could really work nicely as a business collaboration tool in a few different ways. Between all the various aggregation points, and the “rooms” function, I think the platform has everyone one would need to cook up a collaboration environment. Here’s what I mean.

No matter how you feel about FriendFeed , you can't argue with the fact that it has been one of most popular services among the early adopter set this year.

I found the works of Wayne Martin Belger first via a link to bioephemera at Scienceblogs on friendfeed . Following the links provided, I found that he had constructed a pinhole camera in a tibetan skull (pinholes in the eye sockets). It's a double camera, meaning that you can take 3D images. In a weird way, you can use this camera to see with the eyes of this dead Tibetan. Awesome, just awesome!...

Source : bjoern.brembs.blog (subscribe)

Explore : Science blogs

Image via Wikipedia I have read no less than three different posts today about music, Pandora, the RIAA and piracy. Well it’s actually only two real posts since Chris Pirillo’s offering was no more than a cut and paste of his conversation on FriendFeed.

Last night I made another room in FriendFeed - PLoS ONE in the Media/Blogs . I made it primarily for my own use, linking to the media and blog coverage of PLoS ONE papers so I can have everything in one place. But this should not stop you from using it, as well as from adding to it - if you read (or write yourself) a good article or blog post about one of the PLoS ONE papers, old or new, please...

Source : A Blog Around The Clock (subscribe)

Explore : Sciences

Gadfly definition from Wikipedia: "Gadfly" is a term for people who upset the status quo by posing upsetting or novel questions, or attempt to stimulate innovation by proving an irritant. So it was with some amusement I read this morning, on my email digest of Friendfeed, that the social media set look like they are preparing to flutter off to a New new service - Rejaw . (Does the gadfly lay...

Source : broadstuff (subscribe)
