Although you can install Adobe Acrobat 9.x or Adobe Reader 9.x on a computer that contains an installation of previous Acrobat versions, it is not recommended. Adobe has released a security patch for Acrobat and Reader, for Mac and Windows. You can get the update directly here , or use Help → Check for Updates from within the program. You'll need to be logged in as Administrator to see this menu option and to do the update in either case. Krebs says to do it right away.
