Orlando police were investigating a shooting Friday that left one man dead near The Palms Apartments and Mercy Market on Mercy Drive. The shooting, which happened about 1:45 p.m., killed a man thought to be 35 years old, police said. Investigators also were trying to determine whether he had been run over by a vehicle.
